Show time : Double bonanza

Bollywood is offering a double treat to the viewers with the release of laugh riot Welcome and Taare Zameen Par, the directorial debut of Aamir Khan.

With Taare Zameen Par Aamir Khan has put on the director’s cap and thus the movie is one of the most anticipated movies of the year. The protagonist of the movie is an eight-year-old boy Ishaan Awasthi (Darsheel Safary) whose world is full of wonderful things, which nobody seems to understand or appreciate. His parents are more concerned about studies and homework and are unable to understand Ishaan’s world of imagination. Finally when Ishaan gets into too much trouble his parents send him to boarding school so that he can be disciplined. However nothing changes for the boy until a new art teacher Ram Shankar Nikumbh (Aamir Khan) comes to the school who not only encourages children to think and imagine on their own but also helps Ishaan find himself.

Welcome is about two lovers Rajiv (Akshay Kumar) and Sanjana (Katrina Kaif) who face a lot of problems for their marriage as their families have a totally different backgrounds. While Rajiv’s uncle Dr Ghungroo (Paresh Rawal) wants a girl from well-reputed family Sanjana’s brother Uday Shetty (Nana Patekar) is a feared gangster. A shrewd pandit does the match making by hiding some facts, but all hell breaks loose when Dr Ghungroo finds out the truth about Sanjana’s brother. To top it all Rajiv’s childhood bride enters the scene creating more confusion. Labelled, as the most deadliest and funny wedding of the year Welcome is sure to tickle some funny bones.
