Simpson's family still likes Romo

LONDON: Jessica Simpson's family still speak to her ex-boyfriends. The singer's mother Tina has insisted she has "no hard feelings" towards Tony Romo, who dumped Jessica last month just one day before her 29th birthday.

Tina added: "We like all our exes."

Jessica - who divorced singer Nick Lachey in 2006 - was reportedly "devastated" when her relationship with Tony broke down, but Tina insists she is "doing very good".

She told entertainment website E! News: "Jessica is just a really strong girl. She has her stuff together. She really does. She's really solid.

"I'm very proud of her. She awesome at the moment. She's doing very good. Jess has just been spending the summer with her sister Ashlee (Simpson-Wentz), working, hanging out by the pool and enjoying Ashlee's son Bronx."

Jessica recently revealed splitting from a lover was like "a death in the family".

She said: "You go through the mourning stage, then the rebellion, and then all of a sudden you have to find life by yourself. Once you do that, you feel complete - and that's the only time you can truly fall in love again, and give yourself over completely to another person. It's like a death in the family."
