Soha Ali dons Globus
MUMBAI: Apparel retailer Globus was so impressed with actress Soha Ali’s fashion style, that it has now signed this upcoming young star as its new brand ambassador. With Soha’s presence, the brand hopes to recreate the magic of fashion among today’s youth, and she will now appear on the 2006-07 ad campaigns. Talking about her sense of style, Soha said: “If you look at my wardrobe, it’s always been slightly bizarre, quite eclectic, definitely a mix of western, Indian and casual that I am comfortable in. I think, fashion is a lot about being comfortable, a lot about trying to portray your personality in what you wear.”
“I try to wear clothes that make me feel comfortable. I don’t actually believe in setting trends for anyone. I think people should pick and choose and should not follow anything whole heartedly because everyone is an individual, which is why, I constantly focus on mix and match. I may not buy something off the rack that is a matching top and a shirt because I may want to experiment a little bit. And I think, people should always do that. They should develop their own style,” she added.
The daughter of ex-cricketer Nawab Pataudi and veteran actress Sharmila Tagore, Soha hit the right note with movie audiences with Rang De Basanti. She is working on her first solo heroine film titled Ahista Ahista and another Postcards.
