Spirituality in colours

KATHMANDU:

Some paintings give a soothing feel of serenity and spirituality with the bright hues and use of contrasting colours. But some look gloomy, and the excess use of dark colours makes them look a bit dirty. The use of various shapes of canvas has given a sharp and different look to the paintings being exhibited at The Art Shop, Durbarmarg from July 20. The exhibition ‘Spiritual Journey’ by Ramesh KC expresses his passion and devotion through paintings.

The paintings hold memories of various devotional and spiritual places. The bells of temples, the chariot, the festival celebration all has been well expressed by the artist with his acrylic colours and perfect strokes. Not focusing on a certain place, religion and culture, artist KC has expressed the spiritual diversity of Nepal.

The exhibition is on till August 8. — HNS
