Sridevi died of accidental drowning: Forensic report

KATHMANDU: Bollywood’s first female superstar, Sridevi, died of accidental drowning, the post-mortem report revealed.

The forensic report showed that the iconic actress drowned in her hotel apartment’s bathtub, following loss of consciousness.


Following the completion of post-mortem analysis, #DubaiPolice today stated that the death of Indian actress #Sridevi occurred due to drowning in her hotel apartment’s bathtub following loss of consciousness.

Likewise, the Dubai-based media, Gulf News, stated in a report that the 54-year-old superstar was under the influence of alcohol, which caused her to lose consciousness and drown in the hotel apartment's bathtub.

The Dubai Police has transferred the case to Dubai Public Prosecution, which will carry out regular legal procedures.

Earlier, it was reported that the actress had succumbed to cardiac arrest on Saturday night.
