The Modi Apollo International Institute (MAII) is an initiative brought to India through a joint venture between the KK Modi Group and Apollo International Inc, USA. MAII is a centre of expertise, which provides value-added services in the field of higher education.

MAII has brought to India accredited degree programme of the Western

International University, US.

Presently it has three state of the art learning centres.

MAII has introduced in India a unique and internationally proven model in the field higher education through Western International University (WIU). The programmes of WIU provide a broad educational foundation, including a focus on business and technology. They are designed to prepare students for different leadership positions in the global market.

WIU is a part of the Apollo Group, Inc, USA, the largest provider of higher education in USA with a market capitalisation of over $13 billion and over 300,000 students and about 125 campuses. At WIU, the focus is on business education.

The programmes of WIU provide a broad educational foundation, including a focus on business and technology. They are designed to prepare students for different leadership positions in the global market.

Teaching-learning model

Each degree programme provides a foundation in general education followed by the fundamentals of business activity and then the specialty of the selected major. Those who successfully complete the degree programmes are prepared at various levels for employments and/or advancement in the national and international work environments.

The WIU faculty are a blend of traditionally and non-traditionally prepared educators and working professionals; many with international experience. Teaching approaches vary to accommodate a variety of learning methods including lectures, discussion, in-class small group activities, case studies, projects, student presentations and application of concepts and theory to real-world situations.

To prepare students for successful employment and advancement in the business world, WIU also incorporates global, multicultural and international perspectives in its curriculum and emphasises communication, critical thinking and computer skill development.

Eligibility criteria

Undergraduate admission

All applicants must meet the following requirement to be considered for admission to the university —

High school graduation (10+2) or equivalent from an institution that is regionally accredited and/or state licenced.

Students must demonstrate English Language Proficiency.

Graduate admission

Conferral of a four-year baccalaureate degree or equivalent from a regionally accredited college or university.

Students holding a first degree (minimum three years in length) may be considered for the WIU Foundational Bridge utilising the graduate admissions criteria.

Students must demonstrate English Language Proficiency.
