Sur Sudha enthrals Korea, Japan

KATHMANDU:

Famous classical ensemble Sur Sudha has recently completed its 18-day-long tour of South Korea and Japan.

In South Korea, they performed in two places including at the 41t Korean Traditional Festival. According to a Sur Sudha press release, this is the first time a Nepali band has performed in this festival. In Japan, they gave six performances in Tokyo, Yokohama, Kawasaki among other cities. The programme in Japan was organised by Fukuda Masao Poetry Club. They performed Nepali classical and folk music, which is their signature style. Previously the troupe had gone for European tour in June/July. — HNS
