Swank’s hairy cause

LONDON: Oscar winning actress Hilary Swank has urged women to donate their hair to help make wigs for women suffering from cancer.

Swank gave away her hair after cutting it for her role in the film Amelia. She said she wants to help women who lose their hair following chemotherapy, contactmusic.com reports.

She said, “One in three women are diagnosed with cancer in their lifetimes. A lot of my family members have had their lives devastated by cancer. You just need to have eight inches (of hair) to donate.”
