Tahir Hussain no more
MUMBAI: Aamir Khan’s father — filmmaker-writer Tahir Hussain — passed away on February 2 following a cardiac arrest at Khan’s Bandra residence in Mumbai.
“He had a massive heart attack. Aamir and Kiran (wife), who are in Los Angeles, are flying back. The funeral is likely to be held tomorrow evening,” sources said.
Hussian is best known as the producer of blockbusters like Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke, Anamika and Caravan.
Hussain started his film career in 1957 as an assistant director to his brother Nasir Hussain in films like Tumsa Nahin Dekha and Dil Deke Dekho. He is survived by his wife Zeenat, sons Aamir and Faisal and daughters Farhat and Nikhat.
