Tara popularity surges
Kathmandu: The top 10 Nepali Tara contestants received unprecedented recognition, which showed no sign of fading out even as days passed. Immediately after ‘Little Prince and Princes’ pageant requested a performance, Naxal Festival has come forward with its invite at its own programme where the singers will be also felicitated. The popularity of the Top 10 dramatically went up as they performed live in Kathmandu, Banepa and Bhaktapur. So much so, that on the live concert at Bhrikuti Mandap, the finalists literally had to escape as fans mobbed them for their autographs. “Fans’ notes and mails have boosted my morale,” Indira Joshi said. The programme got recognition following the audience’s chance to have their say in deciding their favourite contestant as winner. “Audience notes are coming in from all over the country,” Suman Bista, officer at Studio 4, said.
