Temple of education

When the bell rings I begin to sing I go to school To learn good things.

School is a temple Teachers are gods I get knowledge in school And follow all the rules.

I don’t like fashion I only want education I want to do my duty Then life surely will be

a beauty.

— Saori Gurung, Class V, Rupy’s International School

 Hope less

Everyone wants to kill each other Backstab the one you call brother.

People are suffering People are worried.

Screams fill the air And you smell fear.

No one is to be trusted Everyone is to be suspected.

Today life is in danger Everyone’s a stranger.

The baby cries as the mother dies This world is filled with lies.

Everyone’s desperate to reach the top It’s like we have no hope.

— Malashree Suvedi, Class IX, Alok Vidhyashram

Sweet memories

A soul has left the earth For its heavenly abode The demise of my grandpa Whom all of us adored.

A dignified persona who cared A reminder of pretty things The hilarious incidents still tickle Vanished archive left us with tears.

Though we are normal again A feeling of loss remains He will be sadly missed Down all the memory lane.
