The ladder of success

Whats good is talent it passes away unrecognised. We wouldn’t have any geniuses if they hadn’t worked hard day and night to master their skills. So talent and hardwork is complementary on the ladder of success. Vincent Van Gogh would have been a vicar, and Pablo Picasso a lawyer if they hadn’t realised their true talent. And they wouldn’t have changed the course of art history. Its not just hard work and talent; success is outcome of three maxims in life — Right Person on Right Time at Right Place.

— Madan Manandhar

Only hardwork does not guarantee success because many who work very hard face the hand-to-mouth problem. So we need the opportunity to help us get success. Only hardwork will not lead to success.

— Ganesh Niraula

There is a saying in Nepali: Bhagya chha bhandai ma doko ma dudha duhera arndaina. If one expects to be successful, one can’t achieve anything by doing nothing. Hard work and sheer grit renders a person to a successful life. Without these no one can be successful. Talent and success are not like overnight achievements. These need regular hard work and endeavour.

— Ratan Ale

Success is the by-product of inspiration, competence, opportunity, intelligence, hardwork and

perseverance. Success depends on oen’s ambition and a strong zeal to achieve it. Success is a matter not so much of talent as that of confidence and positive thinking. Someone has rightly said, “It is our attitude, not aptitude that sets up our altitude.”

— Abhishek K Thakur

Success is not a matter of chance, but it is a matter of choice. Although what we see today in our Nepali context is that people are successful because of their Dad’s wealth.

— Raj Sharma

Success is product of the joint effort of work and talent. But it is hard work that really pays in the end.

— Sarose Bhurtel

Being successful is all about finding the right opportunity and riding it to the maximum — be it with talent or with hard work. If you can’t find the silver lining, then no amount of talent or hard work will make you successful. So find that ray and exploit it.

— Sabin Basnyat

Sucess can acheived through sheer grit and hard work, talent and patience. But sometimes combination of these elements also cannot guarantee you sucess. You need luck and to always have your eye on the goal.

— Khem Raj Mishra

Dreaming and achieving are two different sides of the same coin. If you don’t dream, you have nothing to achieve. Merely dreaming can also not give you any success. You’ve got to work for it.

— Prakash Nath Pandey

Hard-work and perseverence have always been the two-in-one prime key to success. But talent and skills also work the magic. It not only takes hard work but also a witty mind along with skilful and talented hands to enslave success.

— Shikshya Vaidya

Hardwork rarely goes waste though at times one does not get the desired results. So somewhere down the line, other factors like talent and luck does

matter. I do not agree with the statement that success awaits certain people. There obviously has to be some amount of hardwork involved. The key factor would be to understand and estimate one’s capability and then put in the extra effort based on that.
