Hungry camel’s teeth removed

Having your teeth removed might not seem like the best way to beat hunger — but that’s what vets did to a camel in a zoo in Columbia. Napolitana had such wonky teeth he couldn’t chew properly, meaning his tummy had trouble dealing with food. In an operation, which took place outside because he couldn’t fit into the operating room, vets pulled out four of the camel’s back teeth. That straightened his mouth out, and Napolitana is now recovering. Vets didn’t realise the hefty beast was too big to fit through the door into the operating room until the last minute.
