THE WORLD THIS WEEK: Now that’s a monster frog!

A 70-million-year-old fossil of a frog, the size of a squa-shed beach ball, has been uncovered. Scientists say it’s a relative of the present-day horned toad, famed for its bad temper. If its ancestor was also aggressive, scientists say it would have been quite a scary beast. They have nicknamed the creature ‘the frog from hell’ and say it might even have sn-acked on sm-all dinosaurs. The fossil was found in Madagascar by a team of UK and US scientists. They say the frog would have weighed about four kilos, with body len-gth of about 16 inches.
