A statue of Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin has been unveiled to mark the first official day in his memory. Australian Steve, who was famous for his wildlife work, died last year after he was stung in the chest by a sting ray while filming a documentary. Children across Australia were wearing his trademark khaki clothes to school and also camping out to raise money for animal and conservation charities. About 6,000 people flocked to the Queensland zoo he
ran for the first ever Steve Irwin day. His wife Terri and kids, Robert and Bindi, unveiled a life-size bronze statue of the family holding a crocodile.
