Training seminar for differently-abled

National Federation of the Disabled, Nepal, conducted Capacity Building Training/ Seminar for People With Disabilities (PWD) in Asia Pacific Region under Disabled Peoples’ International (DPI) in Radisson Hotel last week.

DPI Asia Pacific Region has already conducted 20 training seminars for the PWDs. There were more than 70 participants from different countries — Bangladesh, Cambodia, Fiji, India, Pakistan, and Papua New Guinea. Fifteen participants were representing Nepal.

Radisson Hotel, Kathmandu trained its staff to provide better services to its clients. Those staff who came in direct contact with these guests went through two days of training. Topan Kulkhanchit, development officer,

DPIAP flew down from Thailand two days ahead of the seminar to conduct training.

The seminar was held with the theme ‘Towards inclusive, barriers-free and right-based society for people with disabilities’.

The participants also visited SOS Children Village and Hospital and Rehabilitation Centre for Disabled Children in Banepa.
