KATHMANDU:

Known for their social corporate responsibility, the Standard Chartered Nepal is organising the Standard Chartered Walkathon 2007, an annual event, on September 29.

The Walkathon, which is a fund raising event, will cover around 5 km starting from the New Baneshwor building of the bank and finishing at Lazimpat. Jointly participated by the staff and other stakeholders of the bank, the funds raised from the event will be contributed towards the Bank’s two programmes namely — ‘Seeing is believing’ where financial support will be provided for cataract operations of needy people, and ‘Living with HIV’.

Here’s to losing those extra pounds of fat and doing it for a noble cause too.

The walk starts at 8:00 am.
