As his clothes ready to be unveiled at London fashion mecca Browns, Sabyasachi Mukherjee has a new collection inspired by Indophile colonial rulers and by the élan of the princely state of Hyderabad, and even a new factory. The 29-year-old designer has sent 195 ensembles to Browns, priced between $60-400, mainly of his collection titled Frog Princess full of quirky bleaches, stains and dyes that have been raved about for months.

His new collection is inspired by the spirit of Hyderabad, its etiquette and grace and even the heightened sense of coquettishness and also by the Englishmen who so loved India that they became virtually Indians, adopting the dress, food and living styles of this land. — HNS
