McDowell Nepal Limited has announced the winners of the ‘McDowell’s No1 Whisky’s Mero No1 Winner Contest’.

McDowell’s No1 had launched the contest during the FIFA World Cup tournament in line with its statement ‘World Cup Moments, McDowell’s Moments’.

From the May 22 to July 2, the contest was run in four major zones. Consumers from across 500 restaurants and retail outlets were asked to drop in their predictions of World Cup winner. Of a total of 5,124 entries, only 334 consumers correctly guessed Italy would lift the cup. One bumper prize winner from each zone was picked by The Himalayan Times-Annapurna Post team via a lucky draw. The winners will be given gifts sponsored by McDowell’s No1 Whisky ‘equivalent to their weight’. The winners are Sachin Basnet (Zone 1) Sapana KC (Zone 2), Sanjay Rajbanshi (Zone 3) and Rajesh GC (Zone 4).

Two-hundred-and-five consolation prizes are also being given and the names of consolation prize winnershave been printed in Annapurna Post, or visit www.merono1.com.
