A one-day workshop on different beauty treatments was organised by VLCC at its Kathmandu centre on January 28. The beauty treatments included in the workshop were botox, fillers and chemical peeling. Botox is a natural protein, which is injected in the skin especially where wrinkles have been formed to give it a smooth touch. For fillers, hyaluronic acid gel is used for volume augmentation. And as for chemical peeling trichloroacetic acid and sugarcane-based glycolic acid are used to peel off the superficial layer of the skin. Senior dermatologist and Vice President -Beauty services VLCC Health Care Limited Dr Sushant Shetty also performed a live demonstration at the event. In a statement issued by VLCC Dr Shetty said, “These new treatments revitalise the skin giving an immediate and visible effect.”— HNS
