KATHMANDU: Shishir Yogi’s second music album Shuskera was released on March 25.

If his first album Pahichan, gave him a pahic-han (identity) as an original singer, his maiden voyage also gave hope of Nepalipan to Nepali music aficionados who were concerned

about the nasty deviation Nepali music was taking.

“Yogi’s songs are genuine Nepali songs be it composition or singing style. What makes him distinct is his extremely mellifluous vocal,” says lyricist Ratna Shamsher.

At the release function, Yogi mesmerised all by singing numbers from his new album. The audio CD and cassette were unveiled by his mentor Amber Gurung and National Poet Madhav Prasad Ghimire. The lyrics have been penned by Ratna Shamser Thapa, Kshetrapratap Adhikari among others.
