Youth are the stakeholders and eventual beneficiaries of all forms of development programme. The importance of inclusion of youth in almost every aspect of development programmes has become imperative. As the highest stakeholders the importance of their participation has been highlighted time and again, though, they have hardly been satisfactory to the extent what is anticipated. To facilitate participation of youth in all activities pertaining to national interest and that inadvertently will lead to a better cooperation that Nepal has been getting in terms of various development grants, World Bank on March 21 launched Youth, Development and Peace Network. Youth organisations from around the world, together with the World Bank will facilitate dialogue, interaction and joint efforts between youth organisations, the World Bank and other players involved in poverty reduction and various development issues.
