BEIJING: Chinese actress Zhang Ziyi, star of Memoirs of a Geisha, says she has accepted an invitation to be a judge at this year’s Cannes Film Festival. Zhang told the official Xinhua News Agency that she was looking forward to the festival in May, though she didn’t know which films were competing. “I’m anticipating taking up the post, and it would be an honour,” she was quoted as saying. Zhang said she wanted to use her international influence to create more Chinese films.
