BlinkNow's Kopila Valley Model in Surkhet has received the 2026 International Green Apple Environment Award for environmental achievement.
The model was selected from more than 700 entries worldwide, according to the BlinkNow Foundation. The award recognises efforts to combine environmental sustainability, education for under-resourced children and economic opportunities for local women.
BlinkNow has developed an eco-friendly community model in rural Nepal over nearly two decades, now sharing its experience with grassroots organisations and communities. Its initiatives include an annual leadership summit, practical training for nonprofit leaders, mentorship for public schools and a digital library of sustainability and education toolkits.
The Green Apple Awards, organised by The Green Organisation, have recognised environmental excellence globally since 1994.
BlinkNow supports the Kopila Valley Children's Home and School, alongside programmes in health, women's empowerment, career readiness, food and farming, poverty reduction and social justice. The new eco-friendly Kopila Valley Children's Village was completed in 2025.
