KATHMANDU, OCTOBER 4
Heavy rainfall in one or two places in Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces is likely to occur on Wednesday, according to the Meterological Forecasting Division (MFD).
The weather is partly to generally cloudy throughout the country and light to moderate rainfall is taking place at some places of Gandaki and Lumbini provinces and at a few places on Koshi and Bagmati provinces at present.
Kathmandu has also been experiencing light rain since the morning.
Currently, the monsoon low-pressure trough is situated in its usual position. Rainfall is prevalent in many parts of the country due to the influence of the low-pressure system in the vicinity of Jharkhand, India, as reported by the MFD.
In the afternoon, the weather is expected to remain partly to generally cloudy nationwide, with the possibility of light to moderate rain, accompanied by thunder and lightning, in some areas of Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, as well as a few locations in other provinces.
Furthermore, there is a chance of light to moderate rainfall with thunder and lightning in some areas of Koshi, Madhes, and Bagmati provinces, and one or two locations in other provinces during the night. There is also the potential for heavy rainfall in few areas of the Koshi province.
