KATHMANDU: One of the most beautiful designs displayed at the three-day The Himalayan Times TGIF Nepal Fashion Week was the chaubandi cholo-lehenga set designed by Siwangi Pradhan. Now the heavily embellished design has been the talk of major Indian news outlets, thanks to the showstopper of Pradhan's collection - Bollywood actress and Miss World 2017 Manushi Chhillar.

The Prithviraj actress looked stunning as she sashayed down the runway in the bridal wear - one of the many designs showcased as a part of Pradhan's collection 'Ode to Opulence' on the final day of the fashion gala on September 24. Chhillar posted the photos of her in the white couture from the event on her Instagram on September 25 and captioned those as: 'Showstopper for @siwangiofficial at Nude presents TGIF Nepal Fashion week 2022'.

Chhillar's post has garnered attention of media portals like swirlster.ndtv. com, among others.

"Manushi turned showstopper for designer Siwangi Pradhan at the Nepal Fashion Week 2022 and walked the ramp in gorgeous traditional wear. She flaunted a wonderful white lehenga featuring sequin embellishments, intricate silver and blue work and a tie-knot string detail on the side at the waist," it mentioned and added, "What caught our attention was the sheer white dupatta differently pinned on both sides of her shoulders with sparkling details and scalloped borders."

Another major Indian news outlet, indiatoday.in wrote: "Clad in an embellished white lehenga, Manushi looked nothing less than a dreamy vision to behold as she sashayed down the ramp."

Meanwhile, Hindustan Times even gave a heads up to "brides-to-be" as it wrote: "Manushi Chhillar turned showstopper at the Nepal Fashion Week dressed in an ethereal white lehenga set with a unique dupatta. The star's gorgeous traditional look is a perfect wedding ensemble for brides-to-be. Don't forget to take notes."

More than two dozen other media in India including Zee News India, News9 Live, latestly.com, etvbharat.com among others have covered the news of the Indian beauty queen walking the runway donning the design of Nepali designer Pradhan.

The fashion week is one of the largest fashion events organised in Nepal by The Himalayan Times.
