The hilly areas of Koshi, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces experienced partly cloudy skies, while the rest of the country had mainly fair weather this morning, according to the Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD).
As per the MFD, the weather will remain partly cloudy in the hilly areas of Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces this afternoon, while the remaining parts of the country will have mainly clear skies. There is also a possibility of light rain with lightning at one or two places in the hilly areas, along with light snowfall at one or two locations in the high hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi and Gandaki provinces.
The current weather pattern is expected to persist into the night.
According to the MFD, the country is under the partial influence of westerly winds combined with local wind systems.
