The weather is anticipated partly cloudy skies in the hilly terrains of Koshi, Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces for Thursday, according to the Meteorogical Forecast Division (MFD).

In contrast, the rest of the nation can expect predominantly fair weather conditions. The MFD hints at the possibility of light snowfall in select high-altitude areas within the Koshi and Gandaki Provinces.

As night falls, the hilly regions of Koshi and Gandaki Provinces are expected to witness partly cloudy skies, while the weather in other parts of the country remains fair. Meanwhile, the chance of light snowfall persists in isolated spots of the high hilly and mountainous regions within Koshi and Gandaki Provinces.

According to the MFD, many places in the Terai region of the country are experiencing fog, with Bhairahawa recording a mere 50 meters of visibility at 8:45 am this morning.

However, MDF has predicted agradual clearing of the fog by the afternoon.

As of 8:45 am today, the Meteorological Forecast Division (MFD) notes that Jumla braved the chilliest temperatures nationwide, plummeting to chilling -6.6°C. In contrast, Biratnagar, marked the hottest spot with a relatively balmy 9.8°C. Meanwhile, Kathmandu greeted the morning with a cool 4.5°C.
