KATHMANDU, JANUARY 20

Nepal is currently under the influence of a western wind system, with Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces partially affected by a low-pressure system, according to the Meteorological Forecast Division.

As of 6:00 am on Sunday, hilly areas in Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces are experiencing partly cloudy skies, while the rest of the country is seeing mostly fair weather. However, heavy fog has been reported in many parts of the Tarai region.

The forecast indicates that this weather pattern will continue through the night, with light snowfall likely in one or two places in the high hilly and mountainous regions of Karnali Province.

Meanwhile, Kathmandu Valley is set to enjoy mostly fair weather on Sunday, with daytime temperatures ranging between 20°C and 22°C. Nighttime skies in the valley will remain clear, and temperatures are expected to drop to 3°C to 5°C.

Overall, skies across Nepal will remain mostly clear, with minimal weather disturbances except for localized conditions in the western hilly areas.
