KATHMANDU: A person died after a motorcycle he was riding on was rammed by a bus in Dhungeadda, the western part of Kathmandu district on Wednesday evening.

The deceased has been identified as Ram Krishna Ale Magar (52) of Dahachok in Chandragiri Municipality-10 of the district.

According to police, the incident occurred when the bus (Na 4 Kha 5377) rammed the motorcycle (Ba 58 Pa 224) from behind, injuring Magar in Dhungeadda, Tinthana at 6:00 pm yesterday.

Critically injured Magar was rushed to the Kalanki-based National Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries during the course of treatment, informed police.

Meanwhile, police have impounded the bus and detained its driver for further investigation, informed the Metropolitan Police Circle, Kalimati.
