KATHMANDU: One person was killed after a motorcycle they were riding on was hit by a truck at Balkhu in KMC-14 on Wednesday, police said.

Police identified the deceased as a pillion rider Bhagwati Thapa (30) of Syangja district. Thapa who was seriously injured in the accident breathed her last at Bayodha Hospital in Balkhu, according to police.

Meanwhile, police have impounded the vehicles and rounded both the driver and a motorcyclist for further investigation.
