KATHMANDU: A man was injured after the motorcycle he was riding on was hit by a tanker in Chandragiri Municipality-11 in Kathmandu district, on Tuesday night.

The injured has been identified as Sanu Kanchha Thapa Magar (41) of Matpur-13 in Nuwakot district, currently residing in Khadka Gaun, Kalanki.

According to police, the incident occurred when the tanker (Ba 2 Kha 4675) hit the motorcycle (Ba 37 Pa 5054) near Sipradi Bridge at 8:45 pm, injuring him.

Thapa Magar has been undergoing treatment at the Santungal-based Om Samaj Hospital.

Meanwhile, further investigation into the case is underway and search is on for the absconding tanker driver, said police.
