KATHMANDU: A person was injured after the scooter he was riding on met with an accident in Suryabinayak Municipality-9 of Bhaktapur district on Tuesday night, police said.

The injured has been identified as local Umesh KC (32).

According to police, the incident occurred when the scooter  (Ba 87 Pa 4926) lost its control and fell on the road in Banshghari at 8:00 pm yesterday.

The injured KC was rushed to the Mahankal-based Bir Hospital, where he is undergoing treatment, informed police.

KC was riding the two-wheeler while intoxicated, added police.

Further investigation into the case is underway.
