10 held for 'immoral activities' from Basantanagar restaurant

KATHMANDU: Police on Sunday arrested 10 persons, including five men and five women, for their alleged involvement in "immoral activities" from a restaurant in Basantanagar of Kathmandu.

Inspector Rishi Ram Gharti Magar at the Balaju-based Metropolitan Police Circle told THT Online over phone that they were involved in sexual activities in the restaurant and police suspected that the restauranteur was running the flesh trade.

One of the suspects is a 21-year-old youth, who operates the restaurant in Basantanagar, KMC-16, police said on Monday.

Further investigation is underway.
