KATHMANDU, NOVEMBER 6

The Nepal Calendar Determination Development Committee, the government body authorized to decide the dates and times of festivals celebrated in the country, has announced that 10:51 am on November 15 will be the most auspicious time for Bhai Tika on the occasion of the Tihar festival this year.

While one can receive Bhai Tika from sisters throughout the day on November 15, according to the Executive Director of the Committee, Surya Prasad Dhungel, the most auspicious time for Bhai Tika is at 10:51 am.

The Tihar festival begins on November 11 this year. This five-day festival is the second-largest festival for the majority of Hindus in Nepal, following the Dashain festival.
