12-year-old gives kidnappers the slip
Kathmandu, July 6:
A 12-year-old boy freed himself from the clutches of kidnappers and plotted his way home from Raxaul.
Tarbej Alam was abducted by two unidentified persons from Maitidevi on Tuesday and taken to Raxaul.
According to Tarbej’s father Mukhtar Mohammad Alam, the two made his son sniff some drug and took him to Birgunj.
Tarbej, a third grader of Albert Boarding School in Maitidevi, was taken to Raxaul on a bus, Mukhtar said.
Tarbej escaped from the clutches of the kidnappers and hid himself in a shop, Mukhtar said.
“The shopkeeper telephoned me after my son told him that he had been kidnapped,” the father said.
Mukhtar of Maitedevi headed for Raxaul and brought his son home today. Mukhtar got the phone call while he was heading to a police station to report the abduction. Instead of heading to the station, he headed to Raxaul.
