Kathmandu, May 26

The Election Commission today said 13,033 representatives were elected in the first phase of local level elections till this evening.

The election body said of the 283 local levels of 34 districts of Provinces 3, 4 and 6, where the local level elections were held on May 14, results of 280 local levels were received till this evening.

“The commission has yet to receive polls results of Kathmandu Metropolitan City, Changunarayan Municipality and Bharatpur Metropolitan City,” reads the statement issued by EC Spokesperson Surya Prasad Sharma.

The EC said 2,521 women members and 2,380 Dalit women members were elected in the elections.
