13th Handicraft Trade Fair concludes

KATHMANDU: The 13th Handicraft Trade Fair and 11th Art and Craft Competition concluded in Bhrikutimandap of the capital on Monday.

In the closing ceremony of the five-day event, Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Ananda Prasad Pokharel talked about the need to promote the grandeur and splendor of handicraft to attract foreign tourists to Nepal.

Stating that the tourism is linked with art, Minister Pokharel reaffirmed that the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation was committed to promote art and tourism.

On the occasion, prizes were distributed to the winners of various categories in the Craft Competition along with the stall keepers garnering highest appreciation.

Rabin Amatya of Sabha Nepal, Laxman Mandal of Dhanusha Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Rabindra Bajracharya among other were awarded.
