KATHMANDU: Police on Wednesday raided six firms in Kathmandu and arrested 15 persons for allegedly running the illegal business of hundi (transfer of money through illegal channels).

Acting on a tip-off that the trio had been running the illegal business of hundi in UAE, Australia, China, India and Thailand among other countries, a police team deployed from the Metropolitan Police Crime Division (MPCD) carried out raids at the firms and nabbed the individuals.

Police said that they have confiscated cash and documents from their possession.
