15 Public Hearing Committee members finalised

Kathmandu, July 9

Lawmakers of the House of Representatives today approved the names of 12 Parliamentary Hearing Committee members from the House.

The names of three other members of the 15-member Public Hearing Committee were already approved by the National Assembly earlier in the day.

The Public Hearing Committee is a joint committee of lawmakers from both Houses.

According to HoR Speaker Krishna Bahadur Mahara, Yogesh Bhattarai, Surendra Pandey, Purna Kumari Subedi, Amrita Thapa, Niru Devi Pal, Parwat Gurung and Shiva Kumar Mandal of Nepal Communist Party (NCP) lawmakers are members of the Public Hearning Committee.

From the Nepali Congress, Puspa Bhusal, Gyanendra Bahadur Karki and Bhimsen Das Pradhan are the members. From the Federal Socialist Forum-Nepal Rajendra Shrestha; and Laxman Lal Karna from Rastriya Janata Party-Nepal became the

PHC members.

From the National Assembly, Nanda Chapai and Suman Pyakurel from NCP (NCP) and Jitendra Narayan Dev of the Nepali Congress became members of the Public Hearing Committee.
