15 SLC forms cancelled, guilty booked
KATHMANDU: The Office of the Controller of Examinations (OCE) has cancelled the registration of 15 students due to take their School Leaving Certificate (SLC) examinations on March 25.
According to Dilli Luitel, deputy director, OCE, the candidates studying in Makwanpur-based schools had filled up their SLC exam forms as students of schools in Bara district without the prior permission of the exam controller.
Eight of them had filled up forms as students of Nera Higher Secondary School in Bakulia, six as those of Nera Secondary School in Ratanpuri and one as that of Phanira Secondary School in Bara's Nagaul.
"Our investigation showed there had been irregularities in the due procedure. What's worse, the forms were submitted late," Luitel said. "We'll write to the Ministry of Education to take action against Bara Acting District Education Officer (DEO) Arabindalal Karna and Nayab Subba Pradip Kumar Bhattarai."
The headmasters of the said schools have also been found guilty.
