KATHMANDU: Police arrested two persons while selling controlled drugs in Bankali, KMC-8 on Sunday.

Acting on a tip-off, a team deployed from the Metropolitan Police Circle, Gaushala, nabbed Bidya Adhikari (27), a permanent resident of Sindhupalchok, currently residing in Gaurighat, KMC-7; and Rabindra Rai (30), a permanent resident of Itahari of Sunsari district, currently residing in Jorpati.

Police seized 40 ampoules of diazepam, nurophen and phenergan each from Rai and 31 packets of marijuana from Adhikari.

Further investigation is underway.
