KATHMANDU: Police said that two incidents of fire were reported in the Kathmandu Valley on Monday.

Property worth around Rs 2.5 million was reduced to ashes when a fire broke out at a shoe store in Indrachok, KMC-27 on Monday.

Police said that the reason behind the fire that broke out at the shoe store of Purna Paudel was electric short circuit.

Similarly, two houses were destroyed in a fire at Nikosera of Madhyapur Thimi Municipality-3 on Monday destroying cash and valuables worth around Rs 1,121,000.

Police said that the houses belonging to Dinesh Kasula and Bishwo Ram Kasula were gutted in the fire.
