KATHMANDU: Police on Monday arrested two persons red-handed when they were defrauding people by attempting to sell fake gold, from Koteshwor, KMC-35 of Kathmandu.

Deben Tamang (45) of Mane, Doramba in Ramechhap and Sanjay Sharma (32) also known as Ajay of Charpane-7 in Jhapa were arrested from Koteshwor yesterday.

Police confiscated around 4.5 tolas of yellow-coloured metal, which looked like gold, from their possession.

Police are looking into the case.
