2 held for involvement in attacks with sharp weapons

KATHMANDU: Police said they arrested two persons for attacking a person each with sharp weapons in different places of Capital on Monday.

Ramesh Senchuri (21) from Samudradevi of Nuwakot district, currently residing in Budhanilakantha Municipality-9 of Kathmandu, was arrested for stabbing and injuring Padam Magar (28), a permanent resident of Sirsiya-5 in Udayapur district.

Senchuri had attacked Magar with a sharp weapon after they had a squabble over a drinking water pipe in Budhanilakantha today, police said.

The injured Magar is undergoing treatment at the Bansbari-based Neuro Hospital.

In another similar case, David Lama (28) of Baluwatar, KMC-3 was arrested for attacking a 17-year-old boy Bishal Gurung in Samakhusi, with a khukuri, today.

Gurung is undergoing treatment at the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital.

Police said they are looking into the both cases.
