Two held for swindling millions of rupees over Salman Khan's "DA-BANGG" tour

KATHMANDU: Two persons have been arrested for their alleged involvement in swindling millions out of public and sponsors in pretext of organising Bollywood actor Salman Khan's 'DA-BANGG THE TOUR' in Kathmandu, police said.

Issuing a press statement today, the Metropolitan Crime Division said, "Simant Gurung and Robin KC of Our Dreams Company were arrested today.

The duo had sold tickets of different prices to the public and collected sponsors fee before failing to organise the event in Kathmandu.

The general public who bought tickets for the show realised being duped by the organisers and filed a fraud case against the duo at the MCD, according to police.

The suspects were presented before the Kathmandu District Court today and remanded to custody for five days. They have been charged under fraud case, police said.

Meanwhile, MCD have requested the general public and sponsors who have been cheated by the organiser to come forward.
