KATHMANDU: At least two persons were arrested for their alleged involvement in forging government seal and signatures for producing fake academic certificates and various government cards.

A sleuth deployed from the Central Investigation Bureau arrested 40-year-old Salikram Adhikari of Dhading district and 32-year-old Yagya Raj Karki of Sankhasubha district.

Acting on a tip-off, CIB arrested the suspects Adhikari from Maharajgunj and Karki from New Baneshwor on Thursday.

Police also seized various government holograms, HSEB provisional certificates, SLC marksheets, TU academic transcripts, stamps of various organisations and driving licenses from their rooms.

Meanwhile, the investigation is underway.
