2 nabbed for murder

KATHMANDU: Police on Wednesday arrested two persons for their alleged involvement in murdering a man in Budhanilkantha.

The suspects have been identified as Saji Tamang (18) of Bagmati-6 of Sarlahi, currently residing at Jambodanda in Jorpati and Bikram Waiba (21) of Majurdhap-6 of Makwanpur, presently living at Gokarna.

According to the Metropolitan Police Crime Division (MPCD), Tamang and Waiba had murdered Binod Urabi of Satejhor-1 of Sunsari district on March 20.

Police said that Urabi died on the spot after Tamang and Waiba attacked him with stones.

The MPDC during the investigation came to know that Tamang and Waiba were drinking alcohol at a tavren in Budhanilkantha on March 20. Urabi also entered the same tavren to booze alcohol.

After they finished their drink, while heading towards their respective homes, a minor dispute arouse between them outside the tavern.

In a fit of rage, Tamang and Waiba hit Urabai with the stones.

Following the incident, they fled the scene with a mobile set of Urabi, police said.

Tamang and Waiba have been handed over to the Metropolitan Police Circle, Maharajgunj for investigation today, the MPCD informed.
