KATHMANDU: Police said two cases of theft were reported in the Kathmandu Valley on Monday.

Gold ornaments worth around Rs 200,000 were stolen from the house of Jitendra Maharjan at Boj Pokhari, Lalitpur Sub-Metropolitan City-1, on Monday.

Similarly, property worth around Rs 262,000 was stolen from the rented room of Narayan Timilsina in Babarmahal on Monday.

According to a complaint lodged with police, 4.5 told gold and 1.5 tola silver were stolen from the room of Timilsina.

Further investigation into the incident is underway, said police.
