KATHMANDU: Police said two theft cases were reported in Kathmandu valley on Wednesday.

Cash and valuables worth around Rs 818,000 were stolen from Shreekrishna Jewellery Shop operated by Krishna BK in Kageshwori Manahara-12.

According to police, the thieves had broken into the shop by breaking the shutter padlocks at midnight and had stolen six tola gold ornaments, 255 tola silver ornaments and Rs 319,800 cash.

Likewise, property worth around Rs 188,000 was stolen from a cloth store in Thecho, Bajrabarahi-7 of Lalitpur district on Wednesday.

The thieves had broken into the shop operated by Shiva Prasad Chaulagain by breaking the bolt of the door.

Meanwhile, local police of both the areas are looking into the cases.
